We have a number of activities and events in the lead up to IDAHOBIT – the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia and Transphobia on Friday 17 May 2024:

  • Rainbow Shopfronts Competition

Local businesses and community groups are invited to decorate their shop windows and foyers in rainbows in support of the LGBTIQA+ community.  For more details and to register your business, click here.

  • Ranges Rainbow Trivia: Saturday 11 May, 7pm

Join us for a fun night of LGBTIQA+ trivia at Ange’s Cafe in Kyneton.  To book your place click here.

  • Rainbow Tie Dye Workshop: Tuesday 14 May 2024, 4.30pm

In collaboration with Macedon Ranges Shire Council, a free workshop for young people and families at Gisborne Library, 8 Hamilton Street.  T-Shirts provided or bring your own item of clothing item to tie dye.  Registrations here.

  • Community Lunch: Wednesday 15 May 2024, 12.30pm

Join the Kyneton Community House lunch at The Good Food Hub, 35 High Street, Kyneton, $7 donation for a tw0 course lunch.  No need to book.

  • Flag Raising Ceremonies in Kyneton and Sunbury

Friday 17 May, 12pm: Kyneton Mechanics Institute, 81 Mollison Street, Kyneton

Friday 17 May, 4pm: Village Green Fountain, Sunbury

  • Rainbow Storytime: Monday 20 May 2024, 9.45am and 11.45am

Join Em Chandler for stories about all types of families and belonging just as you are.   Romsey Library at 9.45am and Kyneton Library at 11.45am.

We are excited to be working with Macedon Ranges Shire Council, Hume City Council and Kyneton Community House on these great initiatives.
